about the EP
Ayapana is the name of a plant that grows in the Amazon Rainforest. It’s a so-called master plant and is used by the local shamans in a medicinal context. When you drink it (brewed like tea), you will find yourself in intense and vivid dreams during your sleep. You gain access to your subconscious and what lies hidden within it. Ayapana helps you to connect with yourself and combat your deepest fears.
Ayapana inspired this project and gave it its name, as music is also a very valuable tool to connect with oneself.
The EP follows the concept of a dream. The journey begins with falling asleep, flows through moving dreams and dubious nightmares until the moment of waking up. The intention is to take the listener on a musical trip. An introspective journey through shifting spaces and swirling emotions.
hypnagogia
is the transitional state from wakefulness to sleep. The declining state of consciousness while falling asleep. During this phase, waking dreams, visual, auditory and tactile hallucinations as well as sleep paralysis can occur.
shapeshifters
The world outside dissolves. Falling out of consciousness, diving deeper and deeper into the infinity of the unconscious, where shapes shift and worlds move. Where realities fall apart like small puzzle pieces and reassemble themselves at the same time.
afloat
Drifting on the waves of thoughts, emotions, wishes and desires.
A voyage on the source of being.
